We have journeyed from the personal story behind GrowGood to the way its Blueprints are being designed to speak the language of your farm. Now, we arrive at the most crucial part of our conversation: the future we can grow together. This is a vision that extends beyond the farm gate, connecting our individual efforts into a powerful, collective force for regeneration.
This goes beyond tools. The aim is to build infrastructure for a new kind of economy—one that invests in outcomes, not just outputs.
From Outputs to Outcomes: Verifiable Ecological Assets
For funders, for economists, for anyone asking, “how do we value a farm’s contribution to the ecosystem?”, the answer has always been frustratingly complex. Current tools can’t see the ecological wealth being created every day on regenerative farms. They measure the yield of a crop, but not the health of the soil that grew it.
Our approach aims to change this. Because GrowGood is being built on a foundation of Valueflows , we can create a ledger of not just economic flows, but ecological ones. The same data you would capture for your own operational needs—the compost applied, the cover crops planted, the water used—can become the foundation for something revolutionary: verifiable ecological assets.
This isn’t a vague dream. We are working to integrate Measure, Report, and Verify (MRV) frameworks directly into GrowGood . Imagine a world where:
Your hard work building soil organic matter would no longer be an invisible act of stewardship, but could become a fundable, carbon-backed asset, tracked and valued by the system, ready for emerging carbon markets.
The restoration of biodiversity on your land would not just be a “nice-to-have,” but could become a verifiable outcome that can attract new forms of investment from conservation-focused funds.
Regenerative practices could be transformed from a cost centre into a source of new value, creating a direct financial flow to farmers for their ecological stewardship.
This will allow us to move beyond simply sustaining our farms to proving their regenerative impact. We can then confidently invite investment into our work, knowing that the impact is real, tracked, and auditable from the ground up.
Cultivating Trust from the Ground Up
A new economy cannot be built on the old foundations of centralised control. Trust must be cultivated from the ground up, woven into the fabric of our communities. That’s why we’re planning to build a Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Network (DePIN)—a strategy for creating trustworthy data without relying on a single, central authority.
The goal is for every batch of produce to get a digital passport—cryptographically signed proof of every step in its journey. This could include sensor data confirming location and environmental conditions, Valueflows events logging every input, and chain-of-custody records from farm to table. This is not a far-off dream, but a plan for the practical application of new technologies to age-old principles of community accountability. It’s how we plan to scale trust.
To further drive this, we are designing a token-based incentive system. In this system, farmers would earn tokens not for speculation, but as a direct reward for verified regenerative actions and positive ecological outcomes. These tokens could unlock premium prices in the marketplace, reduce insurance premiums, or be exchanged for other goods and services within the GrowGood ecosystem, creating a circular economy where good stewardship is the most valuable currency.
A Call to Cultivators: Let’s Grow This Together
As Masanobu Fukuoka said, “The ultimate goal of farming is not the growing of crops, but the cultivation and perfection of human beings.” GrowGood is, at its heart, a community project. It is an invitation to cultivate this future together. We cannot do this alone. We need you.
Farmers & Growers: You are the heart of this project. We invite you to be our early collaborators, our co-designers. Your feedback is the most valuable resource we have. Help us build a tool that truly serves you. We’re particularly looking for operators in market gardening, regenerative grazing, and flower farming to help us refine our initial Blueprints.
Developers & Technologists: This is an open invitation to collaborate. If you are a Python developer with experience in FastAPI or Flet, your skills are directly applicable. If you are a Flutter UI developer, we would love to talk to you. If you have expertise in PostGIS, Valueflows , or decentralised identity, we have big challenges for you to solve. Fork our repositories, join the discussion, and help us build this digital commons.
Designers & Systems Thinkers: Help us design the Blueprints for new agricultural models. If you are a permaculture designer, a holistic management consultant, or an expert in syntropic agriculture, lend us your wisdom. Help us map these complex living systems into elegant, intuitive workflows.
Funders & Partners: We’re not building a venture-backed unicorn. We seek aligned seed capital to cultivate a perennial public good that can serve this movement for years to come. If you are an organisation, foundation, or individual who invests in infrastructure for the regenerative economy, let’s talk.
This is more than a project. It is a shared journey. It is an act of hope. It is a commitment to building a world where technology serves life.
I invite you to join us. Let’s get our hands dirty and grow this together.
